SHERWOOD, Ore. — A new Jamba juice location is now open in Sherwood near Target.

The smoothie and fruit bowl eatery at 21155 S.W. Baler Way, Ste. 105 celebrated its grand opening on Friday, January 9. It is the 29th Jamba juice location in Oregon.

Jamba serves fruit smoothies, smoothie bowls, ice drinks, blended coffees, and snacks like breakfast sandwiches, pretzels, waffles, and mozzarella bites.

The Sherwood franchise location is owned by Joe Sullivan and his family, who have been in Sherwood for eight years.

“I really like the people; it's a really friendly place. You don't just feel safe, you feel like part of a community,” Sullivan said. “We're really involved with the sports and just the overall community here.”

Sullivan said opening the Jamba was his nine-year-old son Luke’s idea. His two teenagers work behind the counter.

“I said I wanted to do a business, and I was like, hey, what should we open up in Sherwood? He's like, Dad, we don't have a Jamba,” Sullivan said. “This was Luke’s idea for the Jamba. I went and asked corporate, and they said yeah, so we went down the rabbit hole and kept going.”

According to Sullivan, Portland-based Joseph Hughes Construction completed the buildout, which is the very first Hello Sunshine model — an upgraded design for Jamba with a digital order kiosk and new color scheme.

At the grand opening, Jamba offered buy-one, get-one-free small smoothies, and a prize wheel for attendees to spin and win sunglasses, pins, smoothies, waffles, pretzels, and more.
