That's a wrap on summer 2026! Here are Sherwoodians' favorite local events of the season.
SHERWOOD, Ore. — Sherwood hosts a plethora of fun summer events, from the Robin Hood Festival to the Cruisin' car show to music and movies in the park.
In an unofficial survey, we asked readers which summer events are their favorite — and which new events they'd like to see added.

Over 44% of respondents voted for the Sherwood Robin Hood Festival as the best summer event in town.
Five other events tied, with about 11% of the vote, each. These were: Library Summer Reading/SherBOB, Music in the Park, Sherwood Summer Jazz Festival/Brews for the Birds music festival, Sherwood Pride, and the American Legion Cornhole Classic.
Readers suggested they'd like to see a few new events added that Sherwood doesn't yet have. One reader suggested adding fresh vegetables, pasta, meat, and baked goods to the Saturday Market, while another suggest more events located in the shady Stella Olsen Park. Others suggested more art and wine walks, city-wide music and arts festivals, and a local harvest food and wine festival.

"I really appreciate the support for the queer community in Sherwood, and I really love the way Pride showcases young community members and live music. I've started listening to several of the young queer artists who are showcased there each year. It's also one of our only summer events that takes place entirely on green space, which makes it more comfortable in the heat than anything on that horrible asphalt. I'd really appreciate more events happening down in the park like Pride does. I'm heat intolerant, and while I really wanted to attend the Robin Hood festival and other events this year, the heat in Old Town streets makes that impossible as summers heat up."
