Sherwood’s Studson ranked No. 1 fastest-growing Oregon company
The local manufacturer makes high-tech safety helmets
SHERWOOD, Ore. – A Sherwood manufacturing company made the No. 1 spot on a list for fastest-growing companies in Oregon.
Studson helmet makers ranked highly on Inc. Magazine’s 2026 Inc. 5000 List after achieving a 1,279% revenue growth rate between 2022-2025 — well above the average of 130% of the 5,000 companies on the list. Across the whole U.S., Studson ranked No. 265.
The list is a prestigious ranking of the nation’s most successful independent and entrepreneurial businesses, recognizing companies that have achieved significant growth while driving innovation, creating jobs, and shaping the future of the economy.
Studson, headquartered in Sherwood’s Tonquin Employment Area, is known for delivering innovative head protection in the industrial market, and its founder and CEO is Ryan Barnes.

Studson was founded in 2019, incorporating cutting-edge technology into its safety helmets for a proper fit and comfortable wear, saving lives. The helmets are designed to provide seamless compliance for workers and organizations operating across the U.S.-Canada border.
The construction helmets incorporate technology adapted from action sports to provide 360-degree head protection. The magnetic chin strap closes with one hand, even while wearing gloves.
To qualify for the list, U.S.-based private, independent, for-profit companies are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2022-2025.
The 5,000 companies on the list have collectively added more than 627,208 jobs to the U.S. economy during the past three years.
