We’ve found candy, drinks, music, photo booths, costume contests, and more to help you celebrate the season of spookiness.

1. Trick-or-Treat in Old Town Sherwood
Robin Hood Festival Plaza, Friday, October 31, 3-6 p.m.
Old Town streets will close while participating Old Town businesses will hand out candy to trick-or-treaters, and the Robin Hood Festival Plaza will have even more organizations joining in. This afternoon event is family-friendly.
Southwest Pinehurst Court, Thursday, October 30, 7, 7:30, 8 p.m.
All along Pinehurst Court, visitors to Sherwood can view extreme Halloween decorations featuring animatronics, lights, fog, and a ten-minute show.
It's free to come out and see the displays, the show, and trick-or-treat, with sponsors helping to raise money for the Sherwood Education Foundation.
On Halloween night, trick-or-treaters can return gold in exchange for candy. The gold can be found along Sherwood’s public trails.
3. Adult Halloween Costume Karaoke Party
503 Uncorked, Friday, October 31, 7-11:45 p.m.
This 21+ costume party features karaoke, wine, and welcome jello shots.
Red Berry Barn, Friday, October 31, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
Halloween is the last day of Red Berry Barn’s Fall Harvest Festival. Check out the family-friendly corn maze, pumpkin patch, bouncing pumpkin, farm animals, outdoor games, and farm-fresh baked goods. Admission ranges from $15-25 per person.
5. Trunk-or-Treat at Cars and Coffee
Langer’s Entertainment Center parking lot, Saturday, October 25, 8-11 a.m.
Kids, teens, and adults are welcome to join Cars and Coffee for a Trunk-or-Treat special, including a costume contest at 9 a.m. with awards, candy, and photo opportunities.
6. Trunk-or-Treat at Curious Minds Daycare
Curious Minds Preschool & Daycare, Friday, October 24, 7 p.m.
Curious Minds, Sherwood Bookstore, and Glimpses Wonder and Warfare are teaming up to host this kid-friendly trunk-or-treat event. Costumes welcome and there will be candy.
Avamere at Sherwood, Tuesday, October 28, 1-4 p.m.
This senior-friendly event features a haunted house, scavenger hunt, treats, and magic by Taylor Kyle from 2-3 p.m. RSVP, please.
8. Trick-or-Treat Street in Newberg
Downtown Newberg, Friday, October 31, 5-7 p.m.
Local downtown businesses will be staying open late to hand out candy, treats, and treasures to trick-or-treaters of all ages. Newberg’s Stoller Wine Bar, an event sponsor, has plans to bring a spooky photobooth to Francis Square, as well.
This family-friendly event is free, welcomes costumes, and features volunteers from Kiwanis and City of Newberg who are helping keep everyone safe by serving as crossing guards along busy streets.
Chehalem Cultural Center, 415 E. Sheridan St., Newberg, Thursday, October 30, 5-8 p.m.
Celebrate the Day of the Dead with the Chehalem Cultural Center, which is hosting a number of groups to share the evolution of traditional and contemporary Dia de los Muertos traditions through food, music, dance, and art.
Chehalem Senior Center, 101 W. Foothills Dr., Newberg, Friday, October 31, 12-3 p.m.
