Sherwood Summer Camp Round-up

SHERWOOD, Ore. — Expand extracurriculars and keep the kids busy in Sherwood this summer, from athletics to fine arts to crafting.

Sherwood Summer Jazz Camp

July 7-11

9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Sherwood High School, 18800 S.W. Haide Rd.

If you have a high school age student interested in jazz music, sign up for the Sherwood Summer Jazz Camp with high school jazz band director Tristan Weitcamp. Students can audition to be placed in the premier ensemble, or play in the secondary big band, and perform at the inaugural Sherwood Jazz Festival at the end of camp. 

Registration is $300.

The Hot Spot Studios Creative Camp

July 20-23, Aug. 3-6, Aug. 17-20

10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

The Hot Spot Studios, 21604 S.W. Langer Farms Pkwy. Ste. C103

Creatives ages 6-13 can sign up to create two crafts per day, play games, and enjoy snacks. Crafts include mosaics, canvas painting, pottery, slime, fairy gardens, candles, and pottery painting.

Registration is $220 per week.

Arts, Science Summer Camps

June 29-Aug. 7

9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., 1-4 p.m.

Sherwood Center for the Arts, 21604 S.W. Langer Farms Pkwy. Ste. C103

Four different half- or full-day creative summer camps at the Arts Center include Arts & Rec Camps, Digital Arts & Science Camps, Music & Theatre Arts Camps, and Fine Arts Camps. Full-day campers will get a supervised lunch period, and daily outdoor recreation time is built into each camp. The camps are led by skilled artists, counselors, and professional staff. Campers should be ages 6-15 years old, depending on the course.

Registration is $140-557, depending on the course.

Kathy’s Corner Summer Camp

June 15-17, June 22-24, June 29-July 1, July 13-15, August 10-12

9:30 a.m.-2 p.m.

Kathy’s Corner, 14735 SW Brooke Court

Kids entering K-5 grades are welcome to join in the fun with indoor and outdoor activities including interactive games, team-building activities, arts and crafts, gardening, cooking, and free play, with lunch and snacks provided. 

Registration is $275 per session.

Sherwood School District Sports Camps

June-August

Sherwood High School Stadium, 18800 S.W. Haide Rd.

Football, soccer, volleyball, baseball, basketball, dance, cheer, wrestling, tennis, and lacrosse all have summer camps through the Sherwood School District this summer. Check the website for ages, times, and costs.

No School Camp

June 22-26, July 20-24, August 17-21

9 a.m.-noon

My Gym Sherwood, 16080 S.W. Tualatin-Sherwood Rd.

Drop off kids ages 3-9 in comfortable clothes and grip socks to play games, explore obstacle courses, make crafts, and have a blast at three-hour camp sessions. There’s also a 20% sibling discount.

Registration is $45 per session.

Arts & Acrobatics Summer Camp

June 17-20, 

July 8-11, 15-18, 22-29

July 29-Aug 1

Aug 5-8, 12-15

9 a.m.- 3 p.m.

Empire Athletics, 14960 S.W. Tualatin-Sherwood Rd.

Custom classes for all star cheer champions are for beginners or advanced students to have fun in the gym. The recreational camps will work on beginning tumbling skills, aerial skills, arts and crafts, and play on trampolines, bounce houses, forts, and obstacle courses. 

Registration is $150.

Martial Arts Camp

June-August

8 a.m.-2 p.m.

MUSA Martial Arts, 16410 S.W. Langer Dr.

Students can come and experience daily field trips, sports, martial arts training, creative projects, and exciting group games with themes including ninjas, pokemon, jedis, super heroes, Olympics, minecraft, legos, secret agents, and nerfs.

Registration is $240-300.
